FULL REVIEW EXTRACT – SUMMARY:
You are buying real quality here; absolutely sublime. Not only in the finish and the light design of the carbon, but in the connection felt through the entire system. That not only applies when riding, but even while carrying the board using the handle to the water – it’s all just so well balanced all of the time.
The H1000 wing may initially need more forward momentum to rise up than you’re used to, but once you have enough power in your wing and the experience to quickly build up speed, then the ride quality on offer mixes stability with majestic manoeuvrability and the immense glide is as good as we’ve experienced.
The fluidity I’ve already managed to achieve in my turns and in the feedback from the H1000 foil that has helped me understand when to pressurise the front of the board more and when to relax, really has me salivating for stronger wind and wave conditions on the 800.
The 800 isn’t, however, an option for Rob, who would be looking at this H1000 as a second foil for him, or perhaps the H1200 as his one foil option.
