Ocean Rodeo Glide 5m wing review
“The absolute highlight of the Ocean Rodeo Glide is the light weight handling of this wing.”

FULL REVIEW EXTRACT – STRONGER WIND:
The very first session we had on the Glide A-Series 5m saw the wind soon pick up strongly, to a Cape Town 20-25 knots which always feels more brutal than anywhere else given the density of the wind, but I was surprised to not feel overpowered; something we’ve also admired in the Aluula kites’ wind ranges. The Glide has quite tall wing span compared to the Crosswing X3 5m that I’d just ridden, so I caught the tips occasionally when I first got on it, and was dealing with a new wing and an increase in wind, but the first advantage of the lighter and stiffer material makes this wing very easy to to hold at different angles and also not fatiguing to hold higher, either.
Another immediate standout performance quality of the Glide is how well it slices up into the wind, not only helping your upwind angle, but also providing less of a constant, grunty pull through your arms.
For into-the-wind manoeuvres like tacks, the wing once again feels insanely light and its stiffness makes it handle like a dart. You can really push it through the wind and lean into the carve hard without fear of the wing not coming with you because you haven’t moved it at just the right time. There’s a lot of forgiveness in timing here.
SIZES: 6, 5, 4 and 3m
