The best spots to wing in Baja California, Mexico, with Wyatt Miller

Baja California, Mexico is a 1,280 kilometre long peninsula off the Mexican mainland connected to San Diego California, USA. Both the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean sides of the peninsula offer incredible winging spots. You will find rolling swell and bump and jump conditions with warm water on the Sea of Cortez coast, while the Pacific side offers great wave breaks with a cooler water temp.

Though there are arguably hundreds of great surfing and winging sites along both coasts of Baja California, there are really only three locations with rental gear for wingers, kiters and windsurfers, so I’m going to focus on those as they’re also locations where you can find guidance on the spots from experienced local businesses.
